This series has lineage from previous grids and forms, however there is also a reference to primitive cave art. In essence the approach was arbitrary, applying lines, points and curves to a neutral surfaces. Limited visual context offers nothing more than symbols on a surface to be understood by the reader, based on their own experience or imagination.
