This series has its origins in an earlier colour series, and began with a process of reduction and the idea of positioning distorted shapes to represent possible structures in a landscape. Perspective and 3 dimensions are ambiguously implied, with the imagined structures, with a possible reference to cubism.
Later works in this series also explore geometry and surfaces.
