This series has taken its starting point from the term ‘Merz’ by Kurt Schwitters , referring to the aesthetic combination of any kind of material, and the equal value of these different materials. The term ‘Merz’ came from a fragment of a word in one of his assemblages, the whole phrase being “Kommerz und Privatbank”.
